The story behind this Block

The Coffee Bean was one of my Mother’s favourite patterns.

My Mother loved knitting. She taught me how to knit, including her favourite Coffee Bean pattern. She’s the one who inspired me to learn more about knitting and all kinds of other crafts.

I made this block in the colour Boulder Opal because it also reminds me of her… at the end of a meal we never had a dessert, but always ended up drinking a coffee with whipped cream. For me, this beautiful yarn looks like a cappuccino or a coffee with whipped cream.

I think a lot of you are coffee drinkers… so it will probably remind you of a nice story when you were drinking coffee. I would love to hear, what is your best coffee memory?

Het verhaal achter dit blok

De koffieboon was een van de favoriete patronen van mijn moeder.Mijn moeder hield van breien en is dan ook degene die me heeft leren breien. Ze heeft me ook de liefde bijgebracht om meer te leren over breien en andere ambachten. Ik heb dit blok in boulder opal gemaakt omdat dat me aan haar doet denken. We namen nooit een dessert na het eten, maar namen altijd een koffie met slagroom aan het eind van de maaltijd, voor mij ziet dit prachtige garen er uit als een cappuccino of een koffie met slagroom.

Ik denk dat veel van jullie koffiedrinkers zijn… dus misschien herinnert het jou ook aan een mooi verhaal waarbij je koffie dronk… ik zou het heel leuk vinden om je beste koffie herinnering te horen?
